A large variety of fonts allows you do edit documents in many ways. You can give them a professional look, add an artistic touch and so on. Unfortunately, fonts are also the source of certain problems. For example, you may not be able to view a document, because it uses fonts that are not installed on your computer. The issue can be solved just by installing the required fonts, but your work can be easier with Cfont Pro. It lets you organize your fonts, see which ones are installed or not, back them up, install new ones and more.

You can download the software for free and you can use its features, for as long as you want, without any restrictions. It is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista and Win 7. Installing the program can be done without any difficulties and it does not require powerful hardware.

Each time you launch the software, it will scan and process all the fonts that are installed on your computer. You will find them on the interface, listed in a tree menu. You may switch to a different tree menu which can be used to browse through the folders on your hard drive. A font's basic properties and a description can be found on the lower area of the main window.

A preview for the selected fonts is available in the central region of the interface. It consists of letters (from A to Z) in upper and lower case and in different sizes. A vast array of details, related to a selected font, can be found in a column, on the right side of the interface. They include the font's family name, designer, his URL, copyright information, if it is installed on your computer, PostScript name and much more. The information is listed alphabetically, but you can also find it categorized, under a different tab.

Cfont Pro provides you with a number of functions as well. You can use them to filter the fonts, view a file's properties, go through the fonts like in a slideshow or search for a specific font, using various criteria. It is also possible to install new fonts, uninstall existing ones or create backups. If a font's registry key is broken, you can use the software's integrated repair tool to fix common problems. It can remove orphaned font entries or restore the Windows Fonts folder.

You can also export a list with previews for all your installed fonts. Cfont Pro lets you save it in Rich Text format (.rtf) or in Web Format (.html). This can be accomplished with the aid of a wizard. After specifying the output path, you can choose how to align the text, select a size and set the characters to bold, italic or underlined and more.

Pros

Cfont Pro displays everything there is to know about your installed fonts. Its functions make it easy to find and preview a specific font, uninstall it or install new ones and more. You can download and install the program immediately and it won't cost you anything.

Cons

The software has no obvious drawbacks. When it comes to organizing fonts, Cfont Pro is an excellent alternative to any basic tool. Thanks to its familiar interface and well organized features, the application can be used by experts and beginners alike, with little or no effort.
